Here are ten words and 14 phrases to use for shopping at the grocery store. We use these in class to prepare to play shopping by creating our own store with things to buy, priced from one to four dollars. Students are given four dollars at a time to spend. Some students act as the shopkeepers. The job is to clear the table. Please also see the lesson on counting with classifiers.
